Webinar: AML updates – The Bank of Italy’s provisions, the new EBA Guidelines and the recommendations concerning Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (“PNRR”) – 28th March 2023 – Organized by Optime – Speakers: Fabio Coco and Francesco Donadei – Mr Fabio Coco spoke about the specific provisions on remote customer due diligence, with particular reference to the possibilities that the use of digital identity may provide in light of recent provisions by the Bank of Italy and EBA. Furthermore, the new European Commission’s AML Package and the EBA’s consultation on its Guidelines on remote customer onboarding solutions were also discussed and analyzed. Mr Francesco Donadei spoke about the storage of data and information pursuant to the Bank of Italy’s provision of 24 March 2020.
