Remote customer due diligence – 21 June 2023 – Organized by Paradigma – Sole speaker: Fabio Coco – Throughout the entire morning, Mr Fabio Coco has discussed the new AML requirements to be met in the light of the implementing provisions provided for by the Bank of Italy and IVASS, elaborating further on EBA Guidelines on remote customer onboarding.
Other topics were also discussed, such as the recent provisions brought by Bank of Italy: memo n. 32 of 13 June implementing the Guidelines and the consultation paper of 15 June extending their scope of application.
Finally, the news regarding the AML package of the European Commission also in terms of crypto-assets were described including the latest proposal to amend the eIDAS Regulation which announces the establishment of a European digital identity, the so-called European Digital Identity Wallet (EDIW).
